Robert C. Smith is a Dallas native whose passion for art began at a young age, fueled by a love of self-expression. With a background in philosophy and art history from Sam Houston State University, his creative journey has always been deeply tied to exploring meaning and beauty in everyday life.

Influenced by the freedom and energy of early 1990s graffiti, Robert transitioned into large-scale oil paintings that bring his visions vividly to life on canvas. His work moves between raw spontaneity and thoughtful intention, bridging street culture and fine art traditions.

He often describes his art as living in the space between waking and dreaming, an internal landscape where perception, memory, and transformation blur together. Painting for him is an intuitive process, unfolding like a map that anchors the viewer in a shifting but familiar reality. Much of his imagery engages with the process of becoming—wrestling the shadow, searching for beauty, and stepping through thresholds.

As co-owner of No Kings Tattoo Collective, Robert fosters a sense of community while sharing his artistry in collaborative ways. At the heart of his practice is a belief that art should invite reflection, connection, and a deeper appreciation of the world just beneath the surface.
